Two Ansar members were killed in a road accident in Abhaynagar.

A road accident took place at Bhangaget Alipore area of ​​Abhaynagar upazila on Jessore-Khulna highway at 2.30 pm on Friday. Two members of the Ansar Battalion, a speeding motorcyclist, were killed on the spot when they were hit by a parked truck.

The deceased were identified as Nazrul Islam, 35, of Khulna Allahabad camp of Anshar Battalion, Member No. 31609 and Shahdat Hossain, 34, of Navarne Ansar Battalion of Jessore.

According to eyewitnesses and Highway Police, a speeding Jessore-bound motorcycle collided with a truck parked at Bhangagate Alipore area. Shahdat Hossain, a motorcyclist, fell on the road and was injured. The driver Nazrul Islam twisted the motorcycle in the back of the truck and got stuck. Later, the fire service personnel rescued them with the help of the locals and took them to the Upazila Health Complex. The on-duty doctor declared them both dead.

The deceased were identified as Nazrul Islam, son of Mokshed Ali of Miton Amlapur village under Daulatpur police station of Kushtia district and Shahadat Hassan, son of Shamser Ali of Anguribila village under Kaliakai upazila of Gazipur district. Nawapara Highway Police Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Abdullah confirmed the incident and said, “The truck fled after the incident. We are trying to seize the truck. “
