The body of Billal, a Saudi expatriate from Kuliarchar, returned home three months later

The body of Md. Billal Hossain (55), a Saudi Arabian expatriate from Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj, returned home after three months.

Billal Hossain is the son of late Abu Miah of Uttar Salua Dakshin Para village in Salua union of Kuliarchar upazila. He died of a heart attack in Saudi Arabia on March 1 this year. Three months after his death, his body was brought to Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon, May 30, with the help of the Bangladesh Expatriate Welfare Ministry.

When the body was brought to his village home by an ambulance from the airport that afternoon, hundreds of curious villagers gathered to catch a glimpse of him. At that time the wife and daughters of the late Billal Hossain broke down in tears.

One day after this heartbreaking situation, his body was buried in the family graveyard after Janaza prayers at Salua Fazil (Degree) Madrasa ground at 10 am on Monday, May 31.

It is learned that the deceased expatriate Billal Hossain had been living in Saudi Arabia for the last 28 years. He is the father of 6 children. Among the children are 5 girls and 1 boy. The boy’s name is Shipon. He is also an expatriate from Saudi Arabia.

According to locals, Billal Hossain migrated to Saudi Arabia in 1995 to survive. There he worked as a laborer for a long time and smiled happily on the faces of his needy family members. They said, we cannot accept the death of Billal Hossain. He was a very humble and polite boy. The locals prayed for the forgiveness of his disembodied soul.
