Panchagarh Sadar Police have recovered the body of a young man named Alamgir Hossain (18) from Panchagarh Sadar Upazila.
On the morning of March 26 (Sunday), the locals found the body of the youth on the bypass road in the hilly border area of Pahar in Satmera Union of Sadar Upazila and informed the police.
The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain, son of Mohammad Kaimul Haque of Satmera Union. He is an autovan driver by profession.
According to local and police sources, Alamgir left the house in an autovan last Saturday afternoon. Alamgir collected papar, chanachur and juz from a local trader and sold them in village shops. When mother Alo Begum spoke to him on the phone at 9 pm, she said I was returning home. He never returns home in the middle of the night. His mother and relatives also searched Sajan’s house.
Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, locals found the body of a pedestrian and informed the locals.
Panchagarh Sadar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Akkas Ahmed went to the spot, inquired into the body and sent it to Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
Panchagarh Sadar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Akkas Ahmed said, “I am initially apprehensive that the autovan was taken away by miscreants after killing the youth.” Our campaign to arrest the killers will continue.
