On the 51st birthday of Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the grandson of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation and the worthy son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a prayer mahfil and more than 500 tree planting programs of different species have been celebrated.
A prayer mahfil was held at the city’s Chamber of Commerce building at 11am on Tuesday under the direction of Sunamganj District Juba League convener Khairul Huda Chapal. Maulana Ataur Rahman Lashkar led the prayers under the chairmanship of Khandaker Manzur Ahmed, joint convener of the district Juba League.
Former Acting Mayor of Sunamganj Municipality and Senior Member of District Juba League Nurul Islam Bazlu, Senior Member Sabuj Kanti Das, District Labor Secretary of District Awami League Ed were present at the occasion. Azadul Islam Ratan, Ed. Mizanur Rahman, Sadar Juba League President Ehman Ahmad Ujjal, Vice-President.
Faisal Ahmed, Kauser Talukdar, organizational secretary. Jebul Mia, Syed Emon, Habibur Rahman, Subrata Talukder Jewel, Majed Mia, Zahirul Mia, Abdur Razzak, Eman Ahmed, Majed Hossain and Chhatra League leader Amiya Maitra among others.
Later, more than 500 different species of fruit, forest and medicinal plants were planted at Beribadhe in Nabinagar.
Khandaker Manjur Ahmed, joint convener of Sunamganj District Juba League, said the reason behind the inclusion of Bangladesh in the age of information technology and global network was due to the victory of Sajeeb Wazed, a worthy successor of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The role of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy in building a prosperous and developed Bangladesh will be remembered by the people of the country.
Finally, special prayers and munajat were offered on the birthday wishing long life to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sajib Wazed Joy.
