The Abhaynagar Upazila Administration and the Upazila Corona Prevention Committee have imposed strict restrictions on corona prevention in Abhaynagar, Jessore. In the border district of Jessore, the general public has been alarmed by the sudden increase in corona infection and the identification of Indian variants. At the same time, there has been concern in all quarters including the health department. This concern has been multiplied by the identification of Indian variants in the bodies of 6 people, even though they do not have a history of traveling to India.
And as the houses of four of the six people in the district are in Abhaynagar, the anxiety among the people of Abhaynagar has reached its peak. The Upazila Health Department is busy preventing corona. At the same time, the Abhaynagar Upazila administration along with the Corona Prevention Committee has been in turmoil.
Meanwhile, corona infection is on the rise in this upazila. The number of identities is increasing. As a result, the Corona Prevention Committee has taken a tough decision. The tough decision was announced at an emergency meeting of the Corona Prevention Committee at the Abhaynagar Upazila Parishad auditorium on Tuesday morning. However, the upazila administration is not going for a strict lockdown right now. However, if the strict rules are not followed, there will be a strict lockdown, said Abhaynagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Aminur Rahman. He said all the UP chairmen of the upazila, including the mayor of Nawapara municipality, have been asked to run a campaign in their respective areas. The administration will launch a crackdown after the ban is announced.
Notable among the restrictions, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer said, the workers including the master Sukani of any cargo ship stationed in Nawapara river port area will not be able to get off the cargo ship. Strict restrictions have been imposed on movement in the Nawapara port area. No one can go out of the house without a mask. No need to hang out or gossip outside unnecessarily. The shops in Nawapara Bazar must conduct their shops or businesses in compliance with the health rules. The product cannot be sold to any buyer without a mask. If any shopkeeper does not abide by this rule, that shop will be declared closed. Masks must be made compulsory in offices, banks and insurance companies. And obey health rules. Corona patients who are being identified will not be able to move outside or any of their family members. And those houses will be locked down. Even after this, if the prohibition is not followed properly or the corona infection increases further, the entire Abhaynagar Upazila will be declared locked down.
