On the founding anniversary of the A-League, four helpless fishermen received boats as gifts

Four helpless fishermen of Sharankhola in Bagerhat received a fishing boat as a gift on the founding anniversary of Awami League. The boat was handed over to them through a ceremony on the embankment of Baleshwar river at around 5.30 pm on Wednesday. The boat was constructed with the help of TR project allocated from the quota of Rayenda Union Parishad.

The fishermen who received the boat are Jagendra Haldar, Milon Bala, Ranjit Haldar of Rajeswar village of Rayenda union and A. of Jilbunia village. Aziz Hawladar.

Chairman of Rayenda UP and General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Asaduzzaman Milon presided over the boat distribution ceremony as guests. Islam, journalist Nazrul Islam Akon, Humayun Kabir, BCL president Asaduzzaman Asad and others.

After getting the boat, Milon Bala, Ranjit Haldar, Jagendra Haldar and Aziz Hawlader said, “We have been having a hard time for so long as we don’t have our own boat. The family used to earn some money by fishing as laborers in other people’s boats. Now they have their own boat. I will be able to do well with the income I will get from fishing.
