Mahmudullah Riyad, the famous silent batsman of the Bangladesh national team, set a record of a double century. He became the fifth Bangladeshi cricketer to play his 200th match in one-day international cricket (ODI) in a Bangladesh jersey.
Mahmudullah became the fifth Bangladeshi cricketer to play the 200th match in one-day international cricket as he became the fifth Bangladeshi cricketer in the third and final ODI of the ICC ODI Super League three-match series against hosts Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club today.
Earlier, wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, world-class all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, current ODI captain Tamim Iqbal and former ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Murtaza played 200 ODIs for the Bangladesh national team.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has played the most matches for Bangladesh in ODI cricket. So far he has played 227 matches in Bangladesh jersey. Former captain Mashrafe has played 218 in Bangladesh jersey.
Incumbent captain Tamim Iqbal has played 219 matches to overtake Mashrafe in the toss for Bangladesh against hosts Zimbabwe today. World-class all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has played 214 matches for the Bangladesh national team so far.
