In Panchagarh, 615 landless families got houses

On the occasion of Mujib’s centenary, in the second phase, 815 new landless families have got houses in five upazilas of Panchagarh district. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the program on Sunday. These houses have been constructed under the Asrayan Project-2 of the Prime Minister’s Office. The program was telecast live from all Upazila Parishad halls at 9.30 am.

Among the beneficiaries in Panchagarh, 300 in Sadar upazila, 18 in Boda, 16 in Debiganj, 110 in Atwari and 110 in Tentulia, 615 helpless and landless families are being given this house. For this 26 crore 40 lakh 400 taka was allocated in the district. Each family has been provided with two hundred acres of land, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a toilet, a veranda and a tube well for drinking water.

On the occasion of Mujib Year, it has been inaugurated in the second phase of land and house giving program to landless and homeless families in Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Parishad hall.

Panchagarh Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Arif Hossain was present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. Sabina Yasmin. District Parishad Chairman and District Awami League General Secretary Md Anwar Sadat Samrat, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Amirul Islam, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Kazi Al Tariq, Upazila Parishad Women Vice Chairman Nilufa Yasmin and others were present.

It may be mentioned that on the occasion of Mujib’s year, in the first phase, on January 23 this year, the Prime Minister took initiative to provide houses with land to 69,904 landless families across the country. Out of which 1057 families got houses in Panchagarh district.
