The Banglabandha land port at Panchagarh will be closed for 12 days on the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr and the holy Shab-e-Kwadar at the country’s only quadrilateral land port (India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan).
According to a notification issued by the Panchagarh Import-Export Association, the import-export trade at Banglabandha-Phulbari land port will be closed for a total of 12 days from May 10 (Monday) to May 21 (Friday) on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and Holy Shab-e-Kwadar. However, the port activities will start as usual from May 22 (Saturday).
Mehedi Hasan Khan Babla, president of the Panchagarh Importers and Exporters Association, said the decision was taken jointly by the Panchagarh Importers and Exporters Association and the Phulbari Exporters and Importers Welfare Association of India.
However, all the activities of the government department will continue as per the rules.
