Jessore district administration and Jessore district corona prevention committee has announced a week-long lockdown in all parts of Jessore district. In that light
Abhaynagar Upazila and Nawapara municipal areas have imposed strict restrictions to prevent the spread of the epidemic coronavirus.
A public notice has been issued today (Wednesday, June 23) from 6 am to 12 noon on June 29 for a total of 7 days of activities. Therefore, in order to implement the strict restrictions, an exchange meeting was held on Tuesday afternoon organized by the Abhaynagar Upazila Administration.

Also present were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Narayan Chandra Pal, Vice Chairman Aktaruzzaman Taru, OC of Abhaynagar Police Station AKM Shamim Hasan, representative of Nawapara Highway Police Station, General Secretary of Nawapara Fertilizer Business Association Alhaj Shah Jalal Hossain, Panel Mayor of Nawapara Municipality Alhaj Rahman Councilors Mizanur Rahman Mollah, Ziauddin Palash, Slum Development Officer Rajibur Rahman, UP Chairman Mofiz Uddin, Bikash Roy Kapil, Vishnupad Dutta, Babul Akter and heads of various government departments and journalists.
In order to implement the restrictions, it was decided to form a corona prevention committee at the ward level headed by the union members headed by the union chairmen and in the same manner to form a committee in their respective wards headed by the mayor and councilors. The speakers called upon all to work together to prevent corona infection and spread.
It has been mentioned in the public notification that CNG, rickshaws, vans, autorickshaws, motorcycles, three wheelers and human haulers including inter-district buses, trains and all types of public transport will be closed on all internal routes of the district from 6 am to 12 noon on Wednesday, June 23. However, the order will not apply to ambulances transporting patients, trucks carrying emergency goods and services.
Raw bazaar, flower and grocery stores will be open from morning till 12 noon.
Besides, all kinds of shops, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, tea shops, shopping malls will be closed. The drug store can be kept open all the time.
Law and order and emergency services such as agricultural inputs (fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, agricultural machinery, etc.), transportation of food grains and foodstuffs, relief distribution, healthcare, corona vaccination, electricity, water, fuel, fire service, Nawapara port activities, telephone, internet , Media (print and electronic media), private security, offices related to other urgent and essential goods and services including postal services, offices under local government, their employees and vehicles will be exempt from the ban.
Everyone must stay at home. Unless there is an urgent need (purchase of medicines and necessities, medical care, burial, etc.), there is no way out of the house. In case of emergency, the driver has to wear a mandatory mask.
The industries will continue to operate under their own management in compliance with the health regulations. Workers need to be brought and transported by their own organizations.
All tourist spots, parks, resorts, community centers and recreation centers will be closed. Weddings, birthdays, picnics, halakhatas, parties, etc. and political and religious gatherings will be closed.
According to the rules of hygiene, there can be a maximum of 5 people including the Imam, Moazzem and Khadem of the mosque in the time prayers and a maximum of 20 people in the Jumma prayers.
Emergency construction work will continue in accordance with the hygiene rules and will be outside the scope of transport of goods in this regard. In addition, all cattle markets will be closed.
