New Zealand opener Devon Conway set a great record in his debut Test.
Kiwi batsman Devon Conway returns with 23 runs in the second innings after scoring a double century in the first innings of the first Test of his career against England at Lord’s. Conway set the record for most runs in two innings in his debut Test. Former Australian batsman Kepler Wessels broke the record of 206 runs in two innings 39 years ago. At present Conway has scored 223 runs in the first Test.
Moreover, former Sri Lankan batsman Brendon Kuruppo scored 201 runs in two innings of his debut Test. However, after scoring an unbeaten double century in the first innings, he did not bat in the second innings. Jackson of Australia and Gordon Greenidge of the West Indies scored 200 in their debut Tests.
