Bus driver killed in Bhairab bus fire

Bhairab (Kishoreganj) Representative:

A fire broke out in a bus at Bhairab in Kishoreganj. The driver of the bus Abul Hossain was killed while he was sleeping.

The deceased was identified as Abul Hossain, son of Kitab Ali of Khalishartek village under Palash upazila of Narsingdi.

According to Bhairab Fire Service and police, the fire was caused by a mosquito coil.

According to locals, the Bismillah Enterprise Paribahan bus was parked on the Bhairab-Dhaka route in front of the Bismillah Hotel at Bangabandhu Sarani in the Durjoy area of ​​the bus stand at night. The driver Abul Hossain was sleeping inside the bus. Locals informed the fire service when the driver suddenly started screaming in the heat of the fire around 4 am on Monday (January 11). Later, two units of the fire service reached the spot and managed to put out the fire in an effort of about an hour.

Bhairab Fire Service Station Officer Rakibul Hasan said driver Abul Hossain had fallen asleep by lighting a mosquito coil in the bus parked at night and locking the door. Upon receiving the news, two units of the fire service were able to put out the fire after trying for about an hour at around 4.30 am. It is believed that the fire started from the mosquito coil.

Bhairab police officer in charge (OC) said. Shahin said it was initially thought that the fire started from a mosquito coil. The body was recovered and sent to the morgue for autopsy. The incident of fire is being investigated.
