The host Brazil secured the final by defeating Peru 1-0 in the first semi-final of the current Copa America.
Hosts Brazil face Peru in the first semifinal of the Copa America this morning at the Nilton Santos in South America. Although the ball was in possession from the start of the match, the Peruvian goalkeeper had a chance to advance many times, but could not move forward. However, in the 34th minute of the match, Peruvian goalkeeper Pedro Galez could not save the team. After getting the ball from Neymar’s pass, the young Pakueta put Brazil ahead in the net. If there are no more goals in the first half, Tit’s disciples go to the break with a 1-0 lead.
Returning from the break, however, Peru returned to their original form. Despite attacking the Brazilian defense one after another, no Peruvian footballer was able to catch the ball by evading the Brazilian defenders. As a result, Brazil secured the Copa America final for the second time in a row with a 1-0 lead.
Five-time world champions Brazil will take on the winner of the second semifinal match between Argentina and Colombia in the final on July 11.
