The Sunamganj Battalion (27-BGB) seized Nasir’s bidi and liquor consignment along with Indian cattle at the Tahirpur border in Sunamganj.
According to BGB sources, the patrol team of Laurgarh BOP on Friday (June 4) seized 13,000 pieces of Indian Nasir Bidi from a place called Muksedpur in Badaghat Union of the upazila, approximately 300 yards inside Bangladesh, near the Border Pillar 1205/3-S. During the operation, 04 Indian small and medium cows were detained from a place called Manapara in the same union of the upazila while entering Bangladesh from India along the zero line near the main pillar 1206 of the border.
Also on the same day, the Tekerghat BOP patrol team seized 11 bottles of Indian liquor from a place called Bhurungachhara in Uttar Sreepur Union No. 1 of the upazila approximately 50 yards inside Bangladesh from near Border Pillar 1199/4-S.

He said the process of depositing the seized Indian liquor at the Narcotics Control Office and Nasir Bidi and Cattle Customs Office, Sunamganj is underway.
