Azad, the head office assistant of Abhaynagar Upazila Health Complex, did not return to the country

Jessore district president Sadiqur Rahman Azad, 48, of Abhaynagar Upazila Health Complex’s head office assistant and Safe Roads Chai Andolan, did not return home. He had been suffering from kidney disease for a long time.

He died at Khulna City Medical College Hospital at 4 am on Wednesday night (Inna – Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun). He is survived by his wife and one daughter, as well as numerous admirers and relatives. After the Asr prayers, the janaza was held at the Alipore graveyard ground in his own village.

After the janaza prayers, his burial was completed at Alipore cemetery. Senior officials of the health department as well as doctors and employees of Abhaynagar Upazila Health Complex were present at the janaza prayers. Besides, district and police station leaders of the movement for safe roads were present.

Also present were leaders of medical, political, social and cultural circles. Nasiruddin, Abdus Salam Shimul, Md. Saiful Islam, Md. Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury, Lecturer SM Sohail Ishaq, Rosy Islam Nadi , Elias Hossain Labu, Shamsun Nahar Lipi, Ed. Sheikh Hafizur Rahman Hafiz, Md. Ruhul Amin Sohag, Finance Secretary Md. Nazmul Hossain, Anwara Parveen, Afzal Hossain Raju, Md. Akram Hossain, SKMD Bahalul Alam, Md. Solaiman Hossain, Rakibuddin Faraji, Zahid Siddiqui, Banani Afroza, Rama Das , Md. Rezaul Karim, M Mostafa Kamal, Mahmuda Akter Liza, Afzal Dewan, Md. Masud Rana, Md. Shahidul Islam, Farhana Chowdhury Konika, Miraj Sheikh, Abu Musa, Shamim Hossain, KM Shahin, Md. Israel Hossain, Kazi Russell, Md. Kabir Russell, Md. Firoz Ali etc. Similarly, Abhaynagar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer gave a condolence statement. All doctors, officers and staff including Mahmudur Rahman Rizvi.
