Alauddin Babu scored the hat trick as the fifth Bangladeshi bowler

Fast bowler Alauddin Babu became the fifth Bangladeshi bowler to score a hat-trick in domestic Twenty20 cricket.

Today, Bangabandhu became the sixth local bowler to score a hat-trick in domestic Twenty20 cricket in the match between Brothers Union and Legend of Rupganj in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). He completed his hat-trick by returning three Legend of Rupganj batsmen Muktar Ali, Sohag Gazi and Nabil Samad.

Before Babu, only four bowlers scored a hat-trick as Bangladeshi bowlers in the domestic T20 league. They are Al-Amin Hossain, Alice Al-Islam, Manik Khan and Kamrul Islam Rabbi. Among them, pacer Al-Amin Hossain tops the list of highest hat-tricks in the domestic league as a domestic bowler with two hat-tricks.
