On the first day of the lockdown at Madhabpur in Habiganj, the Madhabpur Upazila Administration, the Army and the Madhabpur Police have declared the Madhabpur police station in a strict position. Although some food shops were open, there were not many buyers. The administration has given masks to all the buyers who have come out to the market after wearing face masks.
On Thursday (July 1) morning, Madhabpur Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Mohammad Mohiuddin and District Magistrate Pradeep Mandal conducted the raids in various places including Madhabpur in the midst of drizzle and drizzle.
Madhabpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Abdur Razzak said the people were being forced to return home by setting up checkposts at various places in the city to implement the government directives and Upazila-wide patrols were continuing, said Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Mohammad Mohiuddin.
In order to implement the government directives, the Upazila administration is conducting operations in various important roads, ghats and hat-bazaars including the Upazila Municipal Headquarters. There is no movement of people on the roads of Sadar. Rickshaws, motorbikes and emergency vehicles are plying on the roads but there is no public transport. People are not leaving their houses without much need.
