The “ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury Foundation UK” made its debut in faraway London with the determination to serve humanity in the hope of preserving the memory of the late Alhaj ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, the undisputed leader of Chittagong.

According to an email message sent to this correspondent by London, a special meeting chaired by Barrister Monwar Hossain was held at Chittagong Center in East London on Monday, June 26 at 7 pm to discuss the life and work of public leader Alhaj ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury. Community leaders Mohammad Ishaq, Abhijit Dhar Bappi, Mizanur Rahman and Nurunnabi Ali and many others discussed in the meeting. The meeting unanimously elected Barrister Monwar Hossain as President and Abhijit Dhar Bappi as General Secretary and formed a 13-member committee of ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury Foundation UK.
The advisory members of the committee are Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury, Dr. Nurun Nabi, Sultan Mahmud Sharif, Syed Abdul Mabud, Syed Sajidur Rahman Farooq and Kaiser Rashid.
The executive committee consists of President Barrister Monwar Hossain, Vice President Mohammad Ishaq, Vice President Shawkat Mahmud Tip, General Secretary Abhijit Dhar Bappi, Joint Secretary Mizanur Rahman, Press and Publications Nurunnabi Ali. The members are Rajiv Chakraborty, Mohammad Alamgir, Shahidul Islam, Farzana Khan, Mohammad Nizam, Mohammad Zakaria and Nahidul Islam Tinku.
The meeting unanimously decided to provide ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury Foundation UK scholarships to three meritorious students of three departments selected in the first project SSC in Chittagong Education Board.
It was decided to hold the first meeting of the Foundation at the same place on Wednesday, July 7 at 7.00 pm.
