Aminur Rahman (Jessore) Correspondent:
A day laborer’s husband committed suicide by hanging himself in a trivial incident at Abhaynagar in Jessore. The husband of the day laborer is known as Md. Mosha Sana (32).
Kakli Begum, wife of the deceased, said, “We have been living as tenants of Rabiul Islam’s house in Sirajkati village for a long time.” My husband worked as a day laborer. Due to lack of money in the family, when I offered to work as a laborer in a leather mill called SAF in Nawapara, we had a quarrel on Tuesday night.
When my uncle found out about the incident, he took me and my daughter to his house that night. When I called the police on Wednesday morning, I found out that my husband had committed suicide by wrapping a scarf around his neck. On Wednesday (July 7) morning, Abhaynagar police recovered the body from Rabiul Islam’s house in Sirajkati village of the upazila. An unnatural death case has been registered in this incident.
Abhaynagar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Milon Kumar Mandal said the villagers reached the spot on Wednesday morning. Inside the house, the hanging body of a man named Mosha Sana was found wrapped in a scarf around his neck.
Preliminary investigation revealed that he committed suicide out of arrogance towards his wife. The body has been sent to Jessore morgue for autopsy. An unnatural death case has been filed.
