A two-day development fair started in Panchagarh

A two-day development fair has started in Boda upazila of Panchagarh as part of the nationwide celebration of ‘Bangladesh’s transition from a least developed country to a developing country’.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Prof Md Faruk Alam Toby inaugurated the development fair organized by Boda Upazila Administration at Boda Government Pilot Model School and College ground on March 26 (Saturday) at 11 am. Boda Upazila Executive Officer Md. Saleman Ali, Municipal Mayor Adv. Md. Waheduzzaman Suja, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Md. Makleshar Rahman Zillur were present.

Earlier, a flood rally was organized by the Boda Upazila administration on the occasion of the development fair. The rally went around the city’s main thoroughfares and ended at the same place.

Later, a discussion meeting was held under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Saleman Ali. Upazila Parishad Chairman Prof. Md. Faruk Alam Toby, Municipal Mayor Adv. Md. Waheduzzaman Shuja, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Md. Makleshar Rahman Zillur, Women Vice Chairman Lakshmi Rani, Boda Government Pilot Model School and College Headmaster Md. Jamiul Haque, Boda Girls Pilot School and College Headmaster Md. Rabiul Alam Sabul, Principal (Acting) of Pathraj College Md. Aminul Islam, Principal of Boda Women’s College Md. Ashraful Alam gave speeches.

During this time the speakers highlighted the various developmental activities of the government.

Guests later visited various stalls on government development at the development fair. About 30 stalls of different organizations get a place in the fair.
