11 platoon army-BGB deployed in Jessore to implement lockdown

11 platoon army and BGB have taken to the field to strictly implement the one week lockdown in Jessore. Of these, 8 platoon army members and 3 platoon BGB members have been deployed in 8 upazilas of Jessore.

At the same time, 10 mobile courts of the district administration and more than 100 police checkposts have been set up. Jessore Additional District Magistrate Kazi Sayemuzzaman confirmed the matter on Thursday.

Considering the current situation of corona infection across the country, the Cabinet Division has issued a seven-day strict lockdown from July 1 to July 7.
During the first two days of the lockdown, Deputy Commissioner Tamizul Islam Khan, Superintendent of Police Pralay Kumar Joardar, Maj. Colonel Tanvir Alam, 49 BGB captain Lt. Colonel Selim Reza. Besides, under the leadership of magistrates in all the upazilas of the district, the police is playing an active role in raising public awareness and imposing fines on the violators of the law.
