My wife is trying to kill me, Middle East labour agency boss tells Police
At Katwe Police Station, a weeping Andrew Sabwa lamented of how his wife doesn't let him lay a finger on her but that she goes around with other men
CRIME | A director of one of the prominent Middle East labour recruitment and placement agencies says his wife is trying to bump him off over misunderstanding he himself “cannot explain.”
Andrew Sabwa, the managing director of Maghrib Labour Agencies Ltd, was in tears as he pleaded for protection with officers at Katwe Police Station, saying he is living in fear of losing his life after his wife Catherine Acen allegedly hired gunmen to assassinate him.
“I opted to leave my house in Bwebajja on Entebbe Road for fear of my life but even then, she keeps on threatening me,” he told Police.
“She claims she has connections in government and that if I don’t obey her orders, I will land into trouble.”
Sabwa also claims that Acen has blocked him from accessing savings in a bank. The couple held a joint account for the job recruitment https://spyreports.net/2018/09/12/magrib-labour-recruiting-agency-boss-andrew-sabwa-drags-wife-to-police-for-hiring-assassins-to-kill-him/and placement firm that they started together.
“I no longer even touch my own wife, she can’t let me lay a finger on her, but she goes out with security officers all the time while denying me my conjugal rights,” Sabwa told Police.
A case of threatening violence has been opened against the Acen vide SD 58/06/09/2018 at Katwe Police Station.
This news website has learnt that Police later summoned Acen to record her statement as investigations into her alleged intent to commit a crime continue.
When contacted, Acen admitted having some problems with Sabwa that has resulted into a police case being opened against her, but denied threatening his life.
